Little Red Tree
Written by Mariah Insull(Robert’s Niece)
In a world full of Tall Evergreen Trees, there was this Little Red Tree; It’s colour stood out, and all the other trees thought the Little Red Tree was weird. The Little Red Tree just wasn’t cutting it, no one showed any regard for it. But as time went on the Tall Evergreen Trees became jealous because now the Little Red Tree was getting attention and they weren’t. This Little Red Tree prospered as the sun shone brighter and brighter on it. Then one day, the Tall Evergreen Trees started to make fun of The Little Red Tree for being short and being the colour red. But The Little Red Tree was not going to give up today, tomorrow or ever, and finally the Evergreen Trees gave up on mistreating it because The Little Red Tree was not showing any reaction whatsoever, but just kept doing it’s thing. So from that day on all the trees were nice to the Little Red Tree and they all lived in peace.
Moral of the story
Are You different? That’s OK!
It’s ok to be different and no one should ever mistreat you for being so. Having been bullied quite a lot when I was young and even at times to this day, I completely understand what it feels like to be The Little Red Tree, and maybe you do too.
I was either getting bullied because of my buck teeth, or just because I was smaller than the bullies or because we didn’t have much money and were homeless sometimes. But I didn’t allow that to bring me down completely, but rather it made me stronger.
Fast forward to today after having placed my hope and trust in Yahushua(Jesus) and striving to obey His commandments I often catch a lot of flak from the world for my faith and my usage of the Hebrew terms but Messiah(Christ) always pulls me through and strengthens me and there is no looking back.
Luke 9:62 “But Yahushua(Jesus) said to him ‘No one, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Reign of Elohim(God).”
So Little Red Tree isn’t just about creating bully awareness and helping those who are being bullied, it’s also about living a Set-Apart life unto YAHUAH(Jehovah) as we walk just as His Perfect Son Yahushua(Jesus) walked, in obedience to the commandments.
Matthew 5:19 “Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
